1/4 lb. dried beef
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup dry macaroni
1-3/4 cup milk
1 can soup (cream of celery or mushroom)
Mix together all ingredients. Let stand overnight.
Stir before baking and sprinkle with bread crumbs.
Bake @325 for 1 hour or until hot.
* A friend made this for me after my 3rd son was born. It freezes beautifully.
will have to try this... is the milk 2 cups? or 4? I am confused LOL... Is this the dried beef you can get in the jars?
ReplyDeleteSorry about that...it was actually a typo. It calls for 1 and 3/4 cups of milk. Thanks for pointing that out to me!!!
ReplyDeleteI like to use Martin's beef loaf. At our grocery store I get it at the deli counter. The beef loaf is the dried beef before it is dried. I do also make it with the dried beef that you can buy at the deli counter or in the cold section in bags.
My friend serves this at breakfast and tops it with hard boiled eggs.
